Medications to Watch Out For When Over 65

Medications to Watch Out For When Over 65

How to prevent medication errors and interactions

I have written about what it takes for a loved one with a chronic illness to manage their medications in the blog article: 3 Tips for Taking Control of Medication

But I am happy to revisit this topic by sharing with you an article from the American Recall Center: Over 65? Watch Out for These Medications.

The impact of inappropriate medication prescribing and medication errors is well documented. What this article brings to the table is the introduction to the Beers List of potentially inappropriate medication for use by older adults. And it has an terrific list of questions to ask your doctor about your medications and how to pay for them.

This excellent organization is dedicated to providing seniors with up to date information regarding drug, device and general health information. For more about the American Recall Center, please go to my resource page: Helpful Resources and Websites
